This Privacy Policy explains how the SiteGround game team (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit https://site-ground.us (the “Site”), the official website of SiteGround, an online game currently in development (the “Game”).
We are the controller of your personal information. You can reach us at any time at [email protected].
By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Site or submit your information to us.
Independent project. This Site and the SiteGround game are not affiliated with the hosting provider SiteGround (siteground.com) or any of its affiliates. We do not receive any of your data from that company and do not share any of your data with it. See our Legal Notice for details.
02Information we collect
Information you give us
- your email address — when you subscribe to updates through the form on the Site;
- your email address, name (if you provide it) and the content of your message — when you contact us.
Information collected automatically
- IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type and language settings;
- the page that referred you to the Site, including campaign parameters (UTM tags) and ad click identifiers;
- pages viewed and the date and time of your visit;
- cookie data and similar technologies, as described in our Cookie Policy and according to your choices.
We do not collect sensitive personal information (such as health data, biometrics or precise geolocation). The Site does not accept payments and will never ask for passwords or payment details.

06International transfers
Our service providers may process your information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required by law (for example, for transfers from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland), we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
07How long we keep it
- Subscriber email — until you unsubscribe or the project ends;
- Correspondence — up to 12 months after our conversation ends, unless the law requires longer;
- Technical logs — up to 12 months;
- Cookies — for the periods listed in our Cookie Policy.
When information is no longer needed or you withdraw your consent, we delete it within 30 days unless we are legally required to keep it.
08Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction, including HTTPS encryption, restricted access and regular review of the services we use. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

US residents. Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws may have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to request deletion or correction; and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

10Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are under 16 (or under the age of digital consent in your country), you may subscribe only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11Our emails
Every email we send includes a working unsubscribe link and our postal address. We process unsubscribe requests promptly, and we never send third-party advertising to our subscribers.
12Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy — for example, when we add new services or launch the Game. The new version takes effect when it is published on this page, and the date at the top will change. If we make material changes, we will notify subscribers by email.
